Márcia Novais is a communication designer based in Porto. Graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto, she has worked at the school since 2011. There, she develops its graphic identity and of the events the institution hosts and organizes, often using the printing techniques for its production.
In 2015, she worked in the Marketing Department of Fundação Casa da Música.
She organized, in 2015, along with Ana Schefer and Teo Furtado, Travelogue Summer School, a forum for debate and collaborative practice dedicated to professionals and students in the fields of design, architecture, arts and related disciplines. The aim was to collaboratively build a practice-based investigation towards publishing a unique guidebook about Porto.
Between 2010 and 2011 she organised We Are Ready For Our Close-up, an independent final show for degree students in Arts and Graphic Design.
In her free time, she collaborates regularly with institutions such as the Porto City Hall and the Serralves Museum of Contemporary Art, and also participates in independent publishing projects.
She works within the areas of culture, music and art.
